About Kona

This is Kona! He is a two-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd Lab mix. He is house trained and up-to date on all vaccinations. Now, onto the fun part! Kona loves people and has never met a stranger he doesn't like. We have never had any accidents with him. He is also crate trained and will go to his crate with just the word 'crate.' He is a great listener! Kona is a dog on the more active side so he will get anxious without adequate space to play and run around. He will need an owner who is not gone all day. While he is an active dog, however, Kona also LOVES to cuddle and lounge around with his owners. He matches energy of his human very well. I have been told by everyone he meets that he is the sweetest dog they've ever met. Kona has had bad experiences with dogs in the past, so he prefers to be the only fur child in the house. This is a requirement for his adoption, as he has had experiences with dog aggression and has been dog-aggressive in the past. He is not hostile, but he unfortunately does not play well with other animals anymore. Kona would also love a house with a fenced in yard, as he loves to be outside and run around. He would also like to live in a place where there are lots of different people to meet and be around. These are not requirements, but they would make him the happiest he could be. I am a college student who jumped the gun on getting a dog in my first year off-campus. I have a two-bedroom apartment and my schedule is booking up by the minute. I would keep Kona if I could give him the care he deserves, but my schedule does not allow me to be home much anymore, and this apartment is not big enough for him. ** Will require a meet and greet before adoption **
