About Simba

Simba is a big goofy boy looking for his forever home with a loving and patient family. He loves to chew on his bones and his chew toys. He is potty trained, crate trained, and doing really well on leash. He knows how to sit, shake both paws and lie down on command. He is a smart boy and very food motivated but can be stubborn so he needs routine and consistency. His favorite word is 'treat' and will do anything for one. He has done well with other dogs and has shown no aggression when sharing his home with other foster dogs or family member dogs. He does have a very energetic play style so older dogs may not be best for him. He enjoys the water and loves to go to the river to play. He is friendly and patient with kids but he has no idea he is a big dog so kids 10 and up would be best. He loves to lean on his family and enjoys cuddles and affection. He sleeps on his dog bed at night. He enjoys car rides but does show some nervousness with being left alone in the car. His foster family is working on trips with 'fun' rewards at the end to get him more acclimated and less nervous. Simba is neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, weighs 88lbs. No cats.
