About Roscoe

Meet Roscoe Roscoe is a wonderful young dog at just over 3years old. He was fostered for about four months. Due to changes in the foster's home, they asked if we could help find this wonderful young dog a loving home. Roscoe is thought to be a husky hound mix and he may even have a bit of chihuahua in him. He weighs only 51 lbs. He is smaller in size than his pictures look. His fosters spent a good amount of time with him, showing him love and kindness, making sure he was medically sound and neutered and doing some basic training with him. As a result of their love, Roscoe is super sweet and affectionate. He is very friendly with a great temperament. He loves being with people. He enjoys talking to his people and strives to get attention. He is mostly house-trained, but might need some reminders once in a stable home. He has a lot of energy and will do best with an active person or family. He loves running in the play yards. A fenced in area would be good for him to run off his energy. He enjoys travel and walks well on a leash. Roscoe does not seem to like other dogs so may do best in a home without them, but we are sure the stress of the shelter is making it worse for him. This boy has everything. If you're looking for a young fur baby companion to be your everything, Roscoe may be for you. We love him and he's quickly become a shelter favorite. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
