About Melly

Melly loves you already - and you've only just met through a picture! Melly is a champion snuggle-butt. As soon as you sit down on the couch, she'll be by your feet waiting for you to invite her up for an ear scratch, cheek massage or belly rub. You won't be able to resist her adorable, big bat ears or her soulful eyes! Once the loving is over, she'll gladly snuggle up next to you for a morning or evening nap while you catch up on work or Netflix. She might even watch TV with you! During the day, she can rest quietly while her humans tackle business on Zoom. But she's always grateful for the chance to exercise her legs and her nose in the great outdoors for a lunchtime hike or neighborhood walk. Melly knows all the basic commands (sit, down, stay), sleeps well in her crate at night, eats all her food and treats, doesn't counter surf and she's house trained! She's rapidly learned how to walk without pulling on her leash and loves to stop and watch bicyclists, runners and power walkers. Melly loves her humans but she's still not sure about other dogs outside. She's not verbally friendly with other pooches when she's on leash or nosing around in her foster home's fenced backyard. But other than that, she's a great companion and sidekick.
