APPLICATION REQUIRED - go to www.greatlakesbengalrescue.com for online application. Ben is ~ 2 years old and was as a stray in Fargo, ND in October 2019; he was living in a garage until surrendered 3 months later. He is currently being fostered in Minot, ND. Ben is a (BBST) Golden-Grey Sand color with Black markings, spotted legs, moderate ticking, a bright white muzzle, and large, pale green eyes. He is laid back and serene, yet alert, intelligent, and headstrong. If forced to do something that he does not agree with, he will object by growling, i.e. being picked up or carried, although he will tolerate it for brief periods (in and out of carrier, etc.). Ben is solid-bodied, athletic, and playful. His favorite toy is a feather wand, but, make sure it is a sturdy one, or he will enjoy it to bits! When spoken to, Ben will respond with polite conversation and absolutely loves to have his face stroked, however, he will give quick, unexpected love bites if overly stimulated. Ben acclimates unusually fast for a Bengal, but, only if done properly and allowed to have his own private space until he initiates socialization - especially with other pets, or he will feel threatened and overwhelmed - he can not simply be 'thrown into the mix!' Ben is currently eating Chicken Soup For The Soul dry and Weruva wet food, and has good litter box habits.
