About Atlas

Atlas is a 3-4 yo Belgian Malinois (on the bigger size for a Mali) that was originally running the streets in California pretty scared and fearful of people. He was trapped and sent to a kill shelter where our rescue was asked to take him on. We put a trainer to work with the foster and adopted him out but now he is coming back as his owner has had 2 heart attacks and if he suffers more Atlas' life is in danger as he will not allow first responders to get near his dad, which mean if the police are killed it's a death sentence for Atlas. Atlas does need an owner where he is not left for long periods of time and where he will be given the time and patience to adjust to a new home, life and owner. Atlas is other dog friendly.
