About Maverick

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Hi my name is Maverick and I am a Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. I turned a year old in November, I have been neutered and microchipped already. The first four months of my life I lived on a goat ranch and had very limited human interaction. Once I went to my new home it was pretty much just me and my dad. I was an inside dog and laid on my bed in front of the fireplace or was able to lay out on the love seat and took the whole thing up I did sleep in bed with my dad and got to go on car rides out to the ranch. I became way too big to be at the small townhouse. So I had to begin staying out at the ranch where I sleep in the house in a large crate for the night (which my large crate will come with me). I get along well with other dogs although I have never been given the chance to be alone with any small dogs. I'm not 100% trustworthy with cats never had the opportunity of being around chickens or working life stock. I'd like people to know when I get excited or a little nervous I do a Elvis smile/harelip so please don't let that scare you off with my size and I've never offered to hurt anyone I'm just a little standoffish shy at first. I have not had a lot of human interaction outside of the small family and there is one nine-year-old little girl that I've been around and have been fine with as well. I have not really been walked on leash very often but I do pick up new tricks quickly and just need to find someone that wants to take the time and show me the love and teach me new tricks.
