Skettie (Originally named Spaghetti) is an active young female Border Collie/Lab mix. Skettie is a smart dog with great potential that must be matched with the right human(s). There was not much structure in her early life, but Skettie is smart and learns quickly. When Skettie came to live with us, she was not properly socialized with other dogs. She was just overly excited to meet new friends. She also was not crate trained. Skettie now plays with her doggie housemates and freely goes into her crate when asked. Skettie is the type of dog that will require a dedicated leader willing to interact with her on many levels. If you are interested in getting a dog to be involved in fly ball, barn hart, frisbee, or some other training involved sport, Skettie may be your girl. If you work long hours and don't have time to be available for her training, she is NOT the dog for you. Skeetie is the type of dog that will find her own fun if you do not provide ample time and training. She came from a home where she was made to stay in the back yard all day and that did not provide a good outcome for her or the owner. Skettie weighs approximately 50 lbs. She is microchipped, spay, fully vaccinated and tested negative for heartworm & tickborne diseases. If you are interested in adopting Skettie, please email [email protected] and tell us why you think you may be a match for her. We will set up a phone discussion before asking you to complete an application.
