PLEASE Fill out an adoption application at https://socalweimrescue.org/pages/adoption-application ADOPT ME!!!!! %BD%BD%BD%8DCheck out the pleading eyes of 6 year old Finn! He is a stunning, happy boy who is adored by his foster of one year. Finn came to us as as a stray as what we assumed was a Hospice case. He had nodes that were thought to be cancerous, but when the surgeon got in, removed and biopsied it turned out to be a hematoma, weighing approx. 1 3/4 lbs. + fluid, most likely caused by severe bodily injury. Some of the nodes seemed to be from poor nutrition. We can only imagine the suffering Finn endured on the streets. %BD%BD%BD%BD The Vet found that Finn has Addison's Disease that is being controlled by monthly injections gradually being reduced in dosage.%BD%BD Finn has been literally thriving since arriving to his foster a year ago. He has lost many of his overweight pounds and learned to walk back on his feet again...he was kind of walking on his hocks from his rear leg lacking muscle tone. Finn loves spending his life chasing the foster's cat. Honestly, if he loved ..or rather, didn't 'love' cats so much he would already be 'home'. He just can't cohabitate with the furry creature. %BD%BD%90%BD Finn's foster says she has to say a regretful goodbye to the Finn she loves. THE SKINNY Finn has been found to be a gentle, mellow boy, big and lacking in grace. He is super smart and learns quickly. He would go to a new home pretty much fully trained. He is happy and loving. He loves people showing affection and gets along with all dogs. Finn needs a home where his family will truly love him for the amazing dog that he is. No barking, no counter surfing, no separation anxiety, stays off the furniture. This lovely boy can even be left alone all day with no fear of lots of Weim Crimes. %BD%BD%A4%BD He is perfectly perfect and will live a good life and will come with SIX months of Addison's related injections....adoption fee will be waived. We only want Finn to go to a good home with no cats and someone who will fill his life with walks and plenty of treats and of course, super long belly rubs. %BD%BD%BD%BD%90%BE%BD%BD%90%BE%BD%BD%90%BE Note: Addison's is NOT a death sentence. Addison's dogs can live long normal healthy lives. Finn's injection dosage has been reduced and he will come with a prescription that can be filled online with injections given at home. The first 6 months will be provided if adopter would like us to provide for him. No need for monthly Vet visits. A mini panel does need to be done periodically to be sure levels are under control.
