About Bonnie

Bonnie, was rescued two days before she gave birth to a litter of Puppies on Thanksgiving Morning. She spent the next 8 weeks being a good mom to her pups. They were separated so that Mom could stop being Mom and start learning what it was to be someone's baby. Before coming to rescue, Bonnie and her friends lived their lives outside roaming 13 acres of land and have very little human interactions. Bonnie is learning how to rest on a couch, how to curl up in a puppy pile on the bed and other tasks needed for her forever home. Bonnie is working on crate training and house training. She freezes on leash so we know she will need a home with a large fenced in yard. She still struggles with thresholds (coming in and out of doorways). She will need a patient person/family that will give her time to trust and would do best in a home with another playful dog that could take the lead and show her the ways on the home. Mostly she need love and lots of snuggles. Bonnie loves to curl up on the bed and take naps. Her favorite person is a large man who loves to take naps and when he calls her name she comes running to jump up on the bed and curl up on the pillow next to his head. Bonnie has started to learn how to play with toys. She loves her tennis balls and chew sticks. Bonnie is still very young at just one years old. She is full grown at just under 30 lbs.
