About La-La

Adoption Fee: $50-75
Siberian Husky / German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

La-La was rescued as a puppy towards the end of her first year. She was left to die in Pulaski County. We found her with no collar eating trash in our neighborhood. She was barely standing of dehydration and clearly skittish from being abused. But we coaxed her in with water. We gave her a bath after a few days of winning her over and she was very loving from the get go.She had an injured arm we iced and treated. She knew some tricks already but was very scared of disappointing humans. She was also scared of pottying inside and would try and hide and eat it and assumed she would be beaten for it. We worked with her tirelessly over the last year, to hopefully make her more adoptable. She was very dominate over our unfixed female pit Bull and would growl over owners attention and her bowls. We used treats and positive love to retrain her. She now plays with our female pit though very hyper and aggressive when playing our pit handles her and does have fun with her. Lala is potty trained and will vocalize when needing to potty or when hungry or thirsty. She LOVES water and will howl when you ask if she's thirsty or wants water and she knows where the faucet is and loves to watch water flow. (This is due to her not having water for who knows how long the summer we found her) she knows shake, sit, lay down, she catches treats in the air. She loves to jump with her arms on your shoulders and dance when invited and she uses her paws to show affection. She needs some one who understands the breed maybe has a large fenced yard or a good yard situation. Someone who understands her trauma and is very patient and loving. She can sit in a metal cage for hours with a toy without acting up and she will vocalize when needing to potty and eat or drink. She will potty in the cage if you wait to long to walk her. I advise walking her before letting her out if she's been in for any amount of time. As she gets scared when she's let out as if she's in trouble still but she has come so far and i know with a good home more than i can offer her in terms of a yard and room to play. And someone who is patient and loving and understands her breed and needs and her past. She will become an even more amazing pet. She's loyal loving affectionate intelligent playful and loves to cuddle talk play wrestle do tricks for toys go on walks. She has escaped 2x it was our fault but she came right back after a few hours or she came in when she realized we weren't going to chase her and she wasn't in trouble for escaping. She loves to go outside play with bones and toys. Loves to wrestle with our pit Bull. Loves water and giving kisses. We wish we could keep her but we are being forced to move out of our home of 3 years so the property can be sold to take advantage of the market. Wife's vehicle for work was totaled by a snow plow we have lost her income and we only have mine and will not be able to move with her and afford a place big enough for her or the fees needed to keep her with us legally. If we can't find a home in the next 30-45 days she will be taken to the pound and most likely euthanized unless adopted from there. Knowing her traumatic past i don't think she would display in a shelter as a good dog to adopt despite being a beautiful smart loving girl.
