About Riggs

Riggs is a 4 year old, 80 pound Belgian Malinois mix. Riggs gets along with his foster siblings in the rescue. Riggs will require and experienced owner who can give him the training and discipline he needs. He does like to run around with his bowl in his mouth. Due to his size and exuberance, he will not go to a home with small children. Side note: Riggs, formerly Gunnar, was originally adopted from the rescue in 2022. He was then found as a stray far away from the original adopter. The former adopter was contacted but did not care to take him back. All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations unless otherwise noted. Please keep in mind that our dogs are shelter dogs. We have little if any information about their prior history. We can only tell you what we have witnessed since coming in to the rescue. Please be patient and prepared to train / retrain your new family member. Our pets need time to decompress once they are in a new home. if you have not heard of the 333 Rule, please google it. It will help you understand what your new rescue dog is going through. WE DO NOT HAVE CATS. THEREFORE WE CAN NOT TELL YOU IF ANY OF OUR PUPS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH CATS. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please email us and tell us a little about your family and home and what you are looking for in a new family member. This will help us determine if the pet you are interested in, is the right for your family. We are located in Hollywood/Charleston, SC. If you are not local to the area, we can recommend a transport company. This company is not affiliated with the rescue and will charge a separate fee.
