About Flash

Meet Flash. This sweet boy was owner surrendered because they did not have enough time to give him the attention he deserved. Flash knows how to sit and will come when called. He loves affection and to give you hugs. When Flash looks you in your eyes, he just melts your heart. Being a Border Collie, the best situation for him would be an owner with a lot of land and who could give him some kind of job to do and can actually have him work in some way. He's a young and high energy dog, he needs proper outlets to get his energy out. He has the potential to be a really great dog, he just needs a lot of training and structure, and the right environment to bring that out of him. He will guard his home and will need some work on his guarding issues; He needs to continue to work on his 'drop it' and 'leave it' commands. Flash needs a very experienced owner who will look to be his owner and not just his friend. He will need a lot of training and a lot of structure. If he does go to a home with other dogs, his owner should understand that he might have issues resource guarding high value objects and should be fed away from the other dog. Flash's ideal home would only consists of adults and has very little foot traffic when it comes to visitors. He has a high prey drive and will chase cars, squirrels, cats, etc if given the opportunity. Flash is about 3 years old and 50 pounds. Please help Flash find the loving home he deserves. Note: Flash had tested positive for Lyme's in the past but has since completed his course of treatment. He is feeling and acting great and ready to find his forever family.
