About Maverick

Meet Maverick He is a 2 year old (approx) male Siberian Husky/Akita mix. Maverick is a big ole goof ball of a guy. He loves to pick his favorite toys out of the toy basket and flip them up in the air, only to catch them and then prance around as if to say... ' Did you see that, wasn't that awesome? makes ya wanna play, huh!? Come on mom.... Play with me! On top of loving to play with his humans, Maverick loves to play with other dogs HIS size (no small animals please). He can run and romp for hours, so we would love to see Mav go to a home with another big dog who can keep him active. Mav is the perfect hiking, running and even biking partner. Yep! That's right! He loves to run along side a bike, and he and his foster mom do that almost every morning to make sure he gets enough exercise. Maverick is a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle at night by his foster moms feet during movie time. Even better if Mom gets on the floor, then Mav takes full advantage of her lap. Mav is a big boy, and can get a little exuberant, so we think a home with older kids would be great. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and has started obedience training. He is super smart, and already knows sit, wait, and leave it. We are working on recall.
