About Betty

Adoption Fee: $350
White Shepherd / German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

#Nurturing, #Affectionate & oh so #Sweet, Ladies & Gentlemen meet Mama #Betty. She's a 3-4 year old #WhiteShepherd mix who weighs in around 60lbs. You may remember Mama Betty from when we trapped her in the gravel mines in Southwest Detroit. Betty was running the streets for 8-9 months and it literally took us a little over 3 weeks to trap her & rescued her 8 puppies at a week old a week prior to securing her. Simply put, Betty is the perfect dog. Not only was she a phenomenal mother, but the perfect sidekick to her Foster Dad. Betty is very calm, cool and collected. Her hobbies include playing with her puppies, wrestling in the back yard with her foster siblings, snuggling up on the couch with her people, loves trying out her foster dad's cooking, chasing squirrels & craves her daily walks to the park. Betty is very food motivated and already knows all of her basic commands, she's 100% potty trained, 100% crate trained, and does great on a leash. Betty loves being apart of a pack mentality and does phenomenal with Dogs of all ages and sizes. Betty does have a prey drive for wildlife and cats. That being said there can be NO CATS in her forever home. Betty does phenomenal with other dogs of all sizes and would do great with mature children. Betty can be a bit shy at first, but warms up within minutes. Show her a treat and she'll be a happy camper. She'd thrive beat in a laid-back home that is somewhat active. Betty would do best with someone who can spend most of their day with her or has another dog to bond with while their at work. She would not do well with a hyper, high energy dog. Betty loves to run around with the other dogs in her home. Her favorite things in the world are bully sticks, salami, string cheese & rotisserie chicken. But I mean.. Who doesn't? ***Adoption Requirements: No Exceptions*** - Fenced In Yard Required - No Kids Under 13 - No Cats Betty is currently up for adoption through Help Us, Help Them Dog Rescue. Our mission is to play an active role throughout our community by 'Lending A Helping Hand' to animals that were either abandoned, in shelters, unwanted, homeless, chained outdoors, or victims of prior abuse and/or neglect. Our rescue family has accomplished this by setting up each animal and their new families up for success by educating and consulting pet parents about what's in the best interest of their pets overall well-being, and creating an awareness in our community about the vital importance of fully vetting and spaying or neutering their pets. #HelpUsHelpThem #HelpUsHelpThemDogRescue
