About Tiffy

Tiffy has been in Rescue for several months still looking for her perfect home. We took her post down for a little bit while we evaluated her further and considered what type of home/environment she will best succeed. Tiffy is a very special almost 1y/o old, 25# mixed breed. She's maybe Shepherd/Chi but her breeds are truly unknown. Tiffy has come a long way with her stranger danger so humans who are familiar with how to support her while also keeping her socialized is important. Tiffy is considered a flight risk until she gets to know you and understands you are her new human. Tiffy would benefit from and REQUIRES a well balanced, friendly, and playful young adult dog her size in her new home. We are not looking to place her in a home with just another puppy or just senior pets. She is overwhelmed by large dogs. Tiffy is unknown around cats and does NOT enjoy children, so an adult only home without visiting children would be best. Tiffy still gets car sick which is likely due to her nervous reaction to new things. Her foster mom is practicing by taking her on very short rides. Tiffy does not like to be crated and is a drama queen if she's put in her kennel. She is good sleeping through the night outside her kennel but still has some puppy chewing habits if left unattended for longer hours so someone who is home during the day would be best. Tiffy loves to be outside so a fenced in yard in REQUIRED; she is not a good fit for an apartment situation. We are not considering applications that do not meet the requirements above. Tiffy is a snuggly little girl once she trusts and warms up to you. A couple training classes or learning a dog sport could definitely help boost her confidence. Tiffy is spayed, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-.
