About Melanie

Melanie is a very sweet girl. She loves to just sit with you and get all the love that you will give her. She loves to snuggle in a blanket if it is chilly. Melanie has just completed a 3 month long treatment for heartworms. She will need some more socialization to help her build her confidence with other dogs. Right now, she is stressed in the shelter and will need to be an only pet when she is adopted. She is a medium sized girl, weighing just under 40 lbs. and almost 3 years old. She has just been cleared medically and is adoptable. Melanie has been spayed, she is fully vaccinated, and she is microchipped. _________________________________________________________ **We are a rescue in Mississippi, we travel to Ohio and KY once a month with our PRE-ADOPTED animals. We meet with the adopters at a predetermined time and location for them to pick up their new family members. We can be available for a video call for a virtual meet and greet after an application has been submitted. **We are not able to adopt animals to residents of MA, ME, and RI at this time. ** ** ___________________________________________________________Rescue Me requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for all dogs listed. Visual breed identification is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
