About Sally

We just know someone is out there for this pretty girl. Let us reintroduce Sally. This 5 year old cattle dog mix was brought in as a stray, gave birth to her sweet puppies, was an amazing mom, and is now waiting for that right person to come show her that being loved is good and that life can be gentle. Sally has an unknown past but has had a foster mom who learned her quirks and how to work around them. But it will take a special person to be patient with her, give her time and then be rewarded with her trust and love. But let's start with the great things about Sally - she likes to chase balls, she likes to cuddle up and take naps, she likes to challenge her cattle dog brain and learn new tricks and along with that she likes her treats. She likes to play with other dogs as long as they aren't aggressive, she is crate trained, house trained and leash trained. Sally has medium energy but will require a fenced yard so she has space and a little freedom. So what doesn't Sally like? She doesn't like it when people come at her quickly or strangers approach her without the chance to warm up. She sees a stranger's hand approaching as an attack and will let you know that she doesn't feel safe. She would do best in her crate when visitors come over so she has a space to feel protected. She seems to be better with kids (over the age of 10) as long as they know her boundaries, vs adults. Oh Sally, what did someone do to you before TSK found you? But let's not forget, when Sally's forever special person has learned what environment is good for her and helps her feel loved and protected, she will be an amazing companion! Amazing.
