About Nessie

Meet Nessie! Age: approx 1 year. Breed: beagle/lab mix is our best guess. Size: about 35lbs. Training: crate trained, working on leash and house training, and doing well. Due to working on leash training, fenced yard is ideal. She needs guidance with leash training, a harness is best. Good with dogs/cats? Yes. In fact, we think Nessie needs another dog in her new home to show her the ropes. She LOVES other dogs. Good with men/women/kids? Yes. She is very timid, but she warms up to be affectionate and playful. She needs a patient family to show her how to be a dog. Personality: Nessie is shy with people but very curious, and follows you around. She will need a patient and understanding home. She is playful, friendly and affectionate, submissive. Reason for rescue: owner surrender. Nessie was surrendered with her sister at about 8 months old. Her sister has since been adopted and doing amazing in her new home. Nessie didn't get much socialization prior to rescue and will need a patient home to show her how to be a companion. She has come so far but she still has a ways to go. She has so much potential! She adores other dogs. Nessie is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives.
