They call me Garfield. All I know is I hide. I'm scared. I am confused.., though I know I am safe at the Rescue Center, I just don't know where my next destination will be (I am staying here before I land my forever). I want so badly for it to be somewhere calm, quiet, serene, and a place that I can comfortably call my own. Garfield is a big and beautiful orange and white cat (HENCE, GARFIELD), with an equally big and beautiful soul. He came to our center after spending 3-years of life living in a garage. Yes, a cold, dark, smelly, scary, lonely garage. He didn't get a lot of attention in his past home (if any), so he is desperate to bond with someone and begin living a spoiled life as a treasured member of the family. He is slow to adjust to new people and will need a quiet home where he can just rest, peacefully in the sunshine. Garfield may be considered for a home with older kids who are calm, polite to animals and understand their ques, boundaries and needs. Calm and polite dogs might be okay and he does quite well with other friendly cats who kind of keep to themselves.
