About Alair

Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Alair (born 12/1/21) is a female retriever/pitbull terrier mix who came to us because her siblings were going to be surrendered to a shelter after being the product of an accidental litter. This litter came into our rescue at only 4 weeks of age because their mom was hit by a car and killed. She is working on housebreaking and crate training, but that will need to continue with her new, forever home as she is just a baby. It is expected that Alair will be around medium to large size when fully grown, but that is only an estimate as she and her siblings are only around 5-7lbs now with medium size paws. Alair loves her foster siblings (canine, feline and human alike) and she is a great pup who is deserving of her forever family! We know that she does well with children, but they must be dog educated by their parents to ensure an ideal relationship as each ages. Alair is certainly a very young puppy who is not yet housebroken, crate trained or trained at all in general at this time. New adopters need to be aware that they will need to work with Alair for future success - we will be available to help give guidance and answer any questions or concerns as needed. To meet Alair, please FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html Alair's adoption fee is $450, which includes her dewormings, spay (when of age), vaccines and microchip (with a lifetime membership). If you adopt out of our vetting area, you will be responsible for the vetting cost with a reduced adoption fee - proof of vetting must be provided aligning with the timeline set per the adoption contract. *Note: please DO NOT apply if you are unsure about adopting a puppy. Yes, they are adorable and fun, but they also require a lot of work and full commitment by ALL family members. Thank you! Ideally, ALL members of the family should be present for any meet and greet unless otherwise specified/discussed. Please remember that we are a board of entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion.
