** Cappy spent a few weeks in a foster home where he enjoyed routinely playing with several dogs; he is very energetic and really enjoys romping. It would be best for any housemate to be his size or smaller and female** Cappy would love to be the captain of your heart. He was transferred from an over-crowded shelter in Oklahoma and is basically a fun goofball. He is just over 3 years old and weighs about 43 pounds. To ensure a good match with any dog buddy in his new home he will need to meet them before making any commitments. Cappy cannot share a home with any cats, though, because he finds them way too much fun to chase and torment. Although Cappy may feel that is a grand way to spend a day, the feline would have another viewpoint of that activity. His family could include gentle and respectful children of all ages, but understand that in his exuberance, he could accidentally knock over small tykes. Cappy will need his people to respect his privacy when he is eating; he has been practicing waiting patiently at mealtime to be given the cue to start eating. Cappy does like to play and is very active. He also thrives on human company and will be very loyal and completely devoted to you; the true definition of a constant companion. Cappy is very affectionate and loves to shower you with kisses. He is hoping for a calm and consistent leader who has time to provide sufficient exercise and training and help him become the best dog ever. Cappy is a smart lad and would love to take some classes with you to learn obedience or canine sports or touch and focus exercises. He is looking for someone to treasure and no doubt was born to be a faithful companion.
