About Buddy

!!!URGENT!!! MUST FIND FOSTER OR HE WILL BE EUTHANIZED!!! Buddy is a beautiful almost 8 year old Labrador and shepherd mix dog and weighs 49 lbs. He was surrendered by his owner to Baldwin Park Shelter (HIGH KILL RATE Shelter) because they were moving and couldn't take him. Buddy is so heartbroken that his family left him behind, and he is so scared of the shelter that he has shut down and is therefore deemed RESCUE-ONLY (handling sensitivity). Buddy is not aggressive and can be pet, he is just shut down and needs help coming out of his shell. Scared dogs rarely ever get a chance to be adopted at this shelter, and it's truly unfair since the shelter is a scary place for many dogs. A notice was sent out by the shelter that Buddy will be next to be euthanized--so this is an EMERGENCY! Buddy is in desperate need of a foster (or foster-to-adopter) so a rescue can save him. Without a foster, he will die at the shelter. A dog should not be killed because he was abandoned by his family and is too scared to be himself in a scary kill shelter. PLEASE SAVE BUDDY'S LIFE!!!
