If you have a loving lap for Mickey to perch on, you have a new best friend waiting to meet you. Mickey's human parents are older are no longer able to care for him due to severe health issues. He is now staying in our home and because we already have a full house with our 3 large dogs, we need to find a good home for this rascal. Mickey is 4 or 5 years old and is a bundle of fun loving energy. He is house-trained and loves his crate as long as you throw a treat in beforehand. He enjoys walks, lap time, and exploring our fenced yard. Though he is good with our dogs (mostly ignores), he is not playful with them - he craves human attention and would not be ideal as a playmate for other dogs. He is a little mountain goat, and will climb on furniture to explore, so he may need some training to keep him from counter surfing, etc. He is friendly with all people, but I would not feel comfortable placing him in a home with young children because he's used to older people. I know that Mickey's former owners did take him to the vet for vaccinations, but he has not had regular medical check ups. His vaccines may need updating (I am checking with the vet this week) and his HW status is unknown. He seems to be a healthy young guy.
