About Finley

Finley is a beautiful 2 year old red merle female girl. Prior to rescue, she had been living with an older woman, mostly outdoors. Finley is such a sweet girl. Finley is learning and becoming more social, especially with other dogs. When she first arrived in foster care, she was so scared of grandkids and now she lays on the couch with them. She has very much become a part of the foster home's pack of aussies. Finley is excellent with younger children, other dogs, cats and even a bird. She is still mastering the housetraining, so staying on a consistent schedule is key. Finley is a true velcro aussie. She has been sleeping with her foster mom in the bed with other dogs and also lays at her feet. Finley is also doing well with leash training and car rides. She also loves to hold hands (hand and paw). She is very good about going out and coming in when called (recall) and has been been working on manners such as sit, stay and touch. Finley is NOT a fan of being kenneled/crated so her foster home has used a gate for her, which helps. She does prefer for her person to be with her more often than not, so someone that works from home or isn't gone very long would be her ideal home. Finley would also benefit from another outgoing, social dog in the home. Finley is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas/ticks and heartworms. She is microchipped as well.
