About Zeke

Zeke is a handsome, lovable, 72-pound, 18-month-old, male red Siberian Husky looking for a loving guardian. Typical of the husky breed, Zeke is free-spirited, friendly, smart, loyal and stubborn. Zeke has been loved and well-cared for since he was a tiny puppy. But, he came into rescue from Southern Illinois when the couple he lived with divorced. He lived with small children and appears to do well with other dogs. He has not been cat - tested. He walks well on leash, and loves to play with all toys. He needs more training in commands, and getting in and out of cars which seems quite foreign to him. While Zeke can be crated, he's not thrilled with the idea. When left out of his crate while his foster dad went to work, he got into a box of tissues, but nothing too destructive. He is extremely healthy, neutered, fecal tested, de-wormed, up-to-date on rabies, distemper, Bordetella and leptospirosis vaccines, heartworm-tested, and on monthly heartworm preventative. He is currently being fostered in Chicago, Illinois. Zeke's adoption fee of $400 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue.
