About Mose

I have had this dog for many years, since he was a puppy. The other day he dislocated his hip playing fetch as he is an enthusiast with sporting. Very high energy and amazing shape. He is almost 9 and everyone thinks he is two. The issue is we live three stories up in an apartment and right now we have to carry him up and down the stairs and we are not sure how long is needed or if he may need surgery. We have taken him to the vet and they said they think he is fine but we are waiting two weeks before getting an MRI to see if it may be worse than the vet thinks. Not that this isn't survivable but where we live will make his life hard. He also has no yard and we aren't sure how active he can even be after all of this. It's sad to think he may never be able to play fetch again but this is likely the reality. I don't want to have to give him to a shelter as it's hard enough to get someone to take dogs that aren't puppies and he will likely be put down. We are trying to give him a chance where he can have a yard the enjoy. We are not sure what his future will be like but we also couldn't afford the surgery if it's needed. Regardless the stairs are not going to be friendly to him. We hate to give him away but it's the best option he has. The picture loading would not work but he is a red Australian cattle dog with traditional markings. No heart works, blood tests great with no liver issues or anything. Just this new physical issue.
