About Lexi

Golden Retriever / Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Name: Lexi Age: 3 year old mixed breed Weight: 45 pounds Color: Red Coat: Short, lucious fur with feathers Gender: Female Vaccines: Up to Date Spayed: Yes Special Needs: On a Fish Diet, resource guards food/toys with other dogs Hi! My name is Lexi and I would love to be your cuddler in chief. I am looking for a home where I am the only pet and there are no small people. I had a hard start in life and I am a little bit shy and uncertain at first about new adults, but I will definitely warm up to you and soon request belly rubs. Small people move too fast for my comfort level. If they are a rarety in visiting, you could crate me to keep my anxiety low. I like nothing more than laying down next to you on the couch or following you around so I can be close to you. I have been told I'm very smart and I listen well. I am a very good girl in the house and you never have to worry because I follow the rules. I am also crate trained. I love walks and hikes. I am pretty good on a leash as long as I'm wearing my harness. I do sometimes get excited and pull a little bit and will get upset if meeting other dogs when I am on leash. Off leash and outside (or inside with no food/toys present) I am great with dogs! I do have a fascination with chasing squirrels and chipmunks so they don't think cats in the home would be successful. I will be in Westminster, MD when you are ready for a meet and greet! We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption. on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
