Bailey is a very high energy dog who has not been given much opportunity to exercise or have proper nutrition. Her current owner has terminal cancer and has been unable to care for her for a long time. A lot of her life has been spent in a crate. Hence she deals with a lot of nervous energy and is very food aggressive. Yet, throughout all that, she has remained sweet, loyal and affectionate. When her needs are met, she becomes a different dog, calm and easy to train. When free to run, she is a thing of beauty. She is spayed, microchipped and housetrained, and would be very happy in a home that has plenty of open space for her to run free, and quality food to make her healthy. She will require her new owners to be patient in training her and conscious of her great need for exercise. She would not be a good dog for first-time owners. However, for someone who has the time and expertise to teach an old dog new tricks, she will be a wonderful companion. She really deserves a chance for a good life.
