About Zelda

Adoption Fee: $300
Rottweiler
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Edit: Tentatively adopted Female Rottweiler needs new home. 6.5 years old. Born April 2015 Zelda is good with kids, adults, puppies, kittens, cats, dogs, ducks, chickens, ducklings, and chicks. She just loves everyone but is nervous and awkward at introductions due to being tied up for her first year or so. We've had her for 5 years but our lease now prohibits dogs. She is a cuddle bug with separation anxiety and is highly food motivated (she will go through her whole repertoire without being asked, if you are holding a treat). Knows sit, stay, down, shake/paw/please, wait, spin, roll over, (be) gentle, leave it. Sits beside you and hugs your leg. Baths no problem (I use warm water, and treats if needed). Not spayed. Has had one litter of puppies before we got her. No health issues, Rabies vacc is up to date. She got hotspots from stress when we first got her, so that might happen again. Excellent candidate for surrogate mother/nursing orphaned puppies. Not an outside dog - she hates being alone (again, she was tied up outside 24/7 until we got her at 1.5 years). Not a high energy dog, but loves walks and playing outside if you are there. She's strong, but my kids walk her without problems. Doesn't like going in the kayak with me yet %BD%81%BD, but she loves car rides (2.5 hrs to cottage no problem). Gets normal Rottie gas so she eats with a slow feeder. She lets you know when she needs to go outside. Prefer someone with experience with Rottweilers or similar breeds. She doesn't like it if people (or the cats) play too rough or get too rambunctious (which our cats like to exploit). She barks when people come to the door but stops when told to. Sounds ferocious, so she scares a lot of people. I can't move so she has to go. She just needs a person to cuddle with and love her and walk her. Would you like to meet Zelda? We would like her to get spayed but due to her having to leave ASAP we can't wait. We would prefer to settle an adoption fee that is an advance payment to your vet for her spay date. Can send more photos upon request.
