About Piper

Adoption Fee: $300
American Staffordshire Terrier / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Who's that perfectly proportioned bully bouncer at the club? Are you looking to meet a petite treat of love? A buff little mini powerhouse filled with the most unconventional love! Don't let her muscles fool you as this little girl is nothing but sugar! She is searching for her forever someone to hang out with and binge watch your favorite series on Netflix! Miss Piper Paisley is either a pure bred American Pit Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier. She's goofy, fun, funny and playful. She is truly one of a kind! An ideal home for Piper would be with another bully breed or two to play with. We don't think she's a candidate to be an only dog with her strong desire to play, run, chase and wrestle at her young age of three years. We will consider her placement as an only dog but you must be an active walker, hiker, dog park goer and or the beach goer. She is currently with a foster that has multiple bullys, Pits, Frenchies and Mastiffs, so at the bare minimum she needs at least one playmate. Piper is perfect with both male and female dogs as well as large or small dogs. The best match for her to play with would be another Pit Bull type dog, a Boxer or any other playful bully breed. PIPER LOVES TO PLAY ! Piper's current best friends are two female French Bulldogs, a male French Bulldog, a male Neapolitan Mastiff and a high energy female Pit Bull. Piper loves to run and play chase and when she tires out she likes to wrestle, play the face-biting game and lick the other dog's faces. She plays hard but submits to all the dogs in foster care including the Frenchies. Not a bad bone in this girl's body! Adopters must have current or past bully breed experience. Piper thrives on physical and emotional stimulation. Please be prepared to put in the work. Piper will never leave your side if permitted but still needs structure and boundaries from her leader. Piper has mastered her crate training and is looking to learn more! And an adopter that will continue to provide the structure and boundaries we've already laid down. Piper is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines including rabies and she is microchipped, housebroken and crate trained. Piper will make a GREAT companion and has a nice, friendly, goofy demeanor which will be a great asset to the right type of owner or family. Looking for a family or owner that is committed. She is quite the strong and athletic type with an immense amount of love and energy to give. Adoption fee applies. We pre-screen via email, so please tell us a little about yourself, your lifestyle, work schedule, how many adults, children or pets are in the household, area you live in, house or apartment, breed experience, etc.... (No infants or toddlers for this girl. She could knock them over and kiss and lick their faces incessantly. Kids and teenagers are fine. We will happily place Piper in a home with dog savvy older children or like sized dog. This little girl can not go into a home with infants or toddlers. Kids are fine. We expect her to be an indoor dog. She is now on a diet consisting of premium grain-free kibble and has zero food allergies, skin, or health issues. Piper is fully crate trained and sometimes goes in on her own to cool off and sleep. She also has the option to sleep on multiple dog beds at her foster home or on the foster's bed with his personal dogs. Piper's foster is a dog trainer so if you have any specific questions please ask. Bully breeds can be a lot of work so please make sure you're ready for the responsibility, and all are on board, and that everyone in the household is ready for the long term commitment that training, bathing, brushing, exercise and stimulation a dog like this requires. Should things move forward to a meet & greet/home check situation ALL family members, kids and pets currently living at the residence must be present. The meet and greet is to not only make sure she gels with you guys and your dog, but that everyone in the family is on board and equally as enthusiastic. We do not make exceptions to this rule. Thank you for choosing to adopt. FINAL NOTE: Piper was at the shelter since June 2021. She came in as a stray and was never claimed. No one ever came in to see or adopter so she was set for euthanasia the day we went in and saved her at her last hour. And we are so happy we did. She is a dream dog. Piper is TERRIFIED of thunder and fireworks. Some one will need to be home with her every 4th of July to console and comfort her. And or any other holiday where fireworks are set off.
