Courtesy Posting: PLEASE HELP US FIND AN ADOPTER. FOSTER AND OR RESCUE FOR DEAR 9 YR OLD SEYMOUR WHO WAS DUMPED AFTER OWNER GOT A NEW DOG. HE IS REPORTED AS KID, DOG, AND CAT FRIENDLY, AND POTTY TRAINED, we have lots of videos- EL CENTRO, CA SEYMOUR - No ID Provided El Centro Shelter, El Centro, So Cal Please help us find a chow savvy, good home for this dear boy who is devastated after being dumped, and is now at the remote El Centro Shelter. His former owner reported he got along well with children, other dogs, and even cats, was friendly to strangers and completely housebroken and walks on a leash. But despite all of this, after the owner got a new dog, and the new dog went after the boy he once called Ranger, and surrendered him to animal control. The owner alleged he was bit, we presume accidentally, when he went to break up the two dogs, although it is unclear if there were even any injuries. So at 9 years old, after being a loyal pet, this older boy gets dumped for a new dog. He now deserves a new and better life and we are calling him Seymour. The El Centro shelter has reached out to us to help us find placement for poor Seymour. Although he initially came in very stressed, he was just taken out of his kennel and enjoyed receiving pets, took treats gently, and was also calm around other dogs. We have lots of video of him to share, and we are looking for someone who has chow experience to foster, foster to adopt and or rescue. He has no reported or known medical issues, although he has not been examined. He would be neutered for an adopter.
