About Ted

TED! He's back... for about a week now. It was going very well, and his adopters adored him. But the situation only allowed if Ted could pass doggie day care standards and they didn't think so... so they tearfully brought Ted back. It was so sad. He really had come far with them. It benefitted ted to be in a home for a couple weeks. He knows what the good life is and he wants that! Ted is trustworthy in the house unattended, he uses a dog door, house manners impeccable. He sleeps all night in a dog bed. He loves being in a pack, but would do fine by himself or with another dog. He does tend to be picked on if there's a dominant dog here, so I watch out for him and I want his adopter to always watch out for Ted. His feelings are easily bruised by nippy dogs. He does fine here though. Ted has been proven great on leash with a halter lead, it's a beautiful thing. AND he is spot on off leash! Perfect recall. He loves to ride in the van, go on our hikes and he loads right back up without a word. He is here and available! Ted's backstory: This gorgeous guy is a barely 1 yr old, 50lb puppy! Super friendly and easygoing! Ted will thrive in an active home. He is not over the top high energy. He does a reasonable amount of running around on our pack hikes, but he pretty much sticks around. I have other dogs that are much higher energy levels. Ted is learning to walk really well on a leash, the gentle leader seems to do the trick, as well as Ted is a fast learner. And he gets along with other dogs very well! Since he's been here, I haven't had a scuffle. Ted avoids trouble. He's respectful! I'm looking forward to Ted getting his own family and home!
