About ROVER. 'Urgent'

Lab / Doberman Pinscher
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

URGENT: 9 year old Rover, He needs a MIRACLE ! Please Share, Share, & Share more to network a good senior dog today! PLEASE, if you can help save Rover's life, NOW is the time to act. He has a growth on his right eyelid, which is Definitely causing at least an obstruction to his vision, if not worse. If something scary appears from the right, I would not doubt for a second that he would snap in fear from not expecting it or seeing it clearly. He turns to look at things, treats included, with his left side, so something has been overlooked medically in the last 4+ years! *** Volunteers have pledged to donate funds toward his medical needs, which could potentially solve all of his fear issues, if anyone can step up to give him a chance. He is a good, responsive, and intelligent senior who still has years of life to live and moments to share. He just needs the care he deserves! Please share him as much as you possibly can today, so we can make a difference and do right by him. Please see videos below of his zest and affection! From Friday: ROVER was surrendered after giving his family years of endless love and devotion. Their surrender notes were detailed and fantastic, but somehow, after having him for 6 years, some incident happened which resulted in a bite. He has not been to a vet since 2017, so underlying medical cannot be ruled out. At his age, 9 years old, he could have pain in an area and be sensitive or protective of it, so he really should see a vet, but he has been sweet, affectionate, and open to pets and scratches pretty much everywhere since coming out of the OBS area and getting out to play in the yard. Prior to that, he was very fearful and defensive in his kennel, and extremely head-shy. What a world of difference some time, trust, snd human kindness can do for a fearful dog. He comes to the door with a wagging tail, waits to be leashed, and confidently heads to the play yards. He runs and plays like a much younger dog and enjoys interaction! Please help us make our work and time spent with Rover mean something and help him continue his journey down a path to a better, brighter future! We know his vision is impaired, and he has a small growth in one eyelid (usually removable,) which could be part, if not all, of the problem. He needs a calm, patient, & loving adopter but also a legitimate rescue, to stay alive. Thank you in advance for Anything you can do help in his 11th hour!! This guy's life should not be wasted! Please tag or contact as many senior dog rescues as you can think of to help!
