My previous neighbor left their all-white German Sheppard/Timber wolf female dog in the trailer park after they moved out. We took her in and gave her all of her shots at the Broadmoore Animal Vet in Shreveport, LA near the beginning of July because the original owners did not seem to have taken care of her. After the vet visit, we attempted to find her a new good home, but after a month and a half of being with the new owner the dog was dropped off at our house BIG pregnant with no warning. She had 7 pups that we are currently finding new homes for. We have tried our best to keep and house the mama dog, but we no longer can because 1. her size 2. we do not have much of a yard and 3. I have a bad back. She needs a big yard to stretch her legs every day. We would have tried to give her to a shelter sooner but with her breed we were afraid she would be put down, and the fact she was not technically ours nor had any sort of papers, no non-kill shelters would take her. When she was dropped back off at our house pregnant, it would have been wrong to have her in a shelter while pregnant and/or nursing.
