About Chewie Vuitton

Introducing Chewie Vuitton, a 4 year old loveable 9lb Pomeranian. You will be immediately be taken in by his vibrant personality and happy demeanor. All you need to do is come home and pick up a leash to make him dance. Unfortunately his life has not always been so happy and structured. Chewie has been working with a professional trainer and a loving foster family for the last 6 months. In this time he has unlearned many bad habits that prevented him from being a candidate for adoption. He now plays well with his Corgi housemates, sits, walks on a leash and looks to his humans for direction when he is unsure. He needs a family that will have consistent rules so he does not have to worry whether he can control his environment, he knows that his human companion will direct and protect him. Chewie has bitten people in the past so he would de best in an all adult active household and will need a muzzle if he goes to an outside groomer. Unlike many other small dogs Chewie does not like or need to be picked up and carried. He can, and loves, to take long strenuous walks. You can see him with his corgi friends at the top of the 8 mile Pinnacle hike on the AT. His foster parents do not know a lot about what happen to him before he came to them but they think there may have been physical abuse in the household towards Chewie and his female caretaker. Because of this abuse Chewie can have a personality change in the late evenings. He gets tired and reverts to a more aggressive state. He needs to be told to go to bed in his crate. He will comply and sleep well until morning. When he wakes up there is no sign of his aggressive tendencies. Chewies forever family will need to agree to crate him and be very patient as he adjusts to life in your home. He has so much love to give and is looking for his special person or couple to help him continue to learn and grow.
