About Luna

Luna is about 3 years old -Aussie mix- we were told she was purebred, but don't think she is. She is VERY SMART. She knows many commands and hand signals and even can search for objects!! She is sweet, affectionate and loves to cuddle. She loves to play fetch and run around at top speed!! We got her when she was 6 months old. Her story: When we went to look at her, the man pulled her out from a cage full of another dogs feces, and I couldn't leave her there! We brought her home to find she was FULL OF FLEAS. After this rough start she has been given a wonderful home and we love her very much. Trouble is she is still fearful/anxious of anyone coming to our house, including us. She will bark at us until we say her name (several times)and get close to her (even though she obviously knows it's us)! This is worse when friends and neighborhood kids stop by (even if she knows them). We live in a busy neighborhood and she cannot be trusted around anyone, especially children. For this reason we think she suffered abuse before we adopted her. We have tried everything and just don't know what to do but offer her to someone who has experience with these kind of doggy issues. Maybe someone who lives a quiet life on a large piece of property. Please consider her if you are looking for a young energetic dog and have the time to work with her on these issues. I think she would be a great herder and agility dog.
