About Kingston

Kingston was found out in the country covered with ticks and dirty as if he had been an outside dog or been on his own for awhile. He has been tested for heartworm and found to be negative and been on prevention. He is vaccinated and has been partially neutered because he is cryptorchid and the other testicle could not be found. Kingston is a high energy dog that is 50/50 compatible with dogs, tolerant of cats but nervous around them, would do better with other older children because there is a history of bites and loves tennis balls and toys that squeak. When Kingston came to our shelter, he had fluid in his ears which made them very painful and when he was meeting a person, they bumped his ears and he reacted by trying to bite resulting in a scratch on the individual's arm. He was adopted out and was doing very well when he was returned. Seems a teenager tried to put Kingston into a wire cage and Kingston reacted by biting the teenager. We would like to find a rescue that could work with Kingston, evaluate him and find the best home for him. We will not consider an individual for adoption because of Kingston's history.
