We rescued Memphis Duke on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized at an overcrowded kill shelter. We transported him from Memphis, Tennessee to North Carolina because we believed he is a very special dog. And we are right. There is not a mean bone in this gentle pup's body. He is smart, knows commands, is already house trained, and loves to play with other dogs. His foster writes: 'Memphis needs a very gentle and patient household. He is learning to trust people but needs you to let him come to you. I don't think he has ever had a belly rub before; so his new family can teach him everything he has missed out on.' Memphis Duke is nine months old and 40 pounds and probably will grow to about 45 or 50 pounds. Very healthy and handsome. We reply fast to completed applications and can then discuss. No small kids. Teens fine. Fenced yard needed. Prefer household with a female dog because he bonds with female dogs. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. We will transport.
