***Extremely Urgent*** ***On the list to be euthanized***. Handsome Kernal came in one 11/30/21 to Chicago Animal Care and Control as a chipped stray. We will never understand how someone could forget about this gentle soul. Unfortunately, someone is capable of this, but that means he is available to go to a loving home. He will be a forever loyal and loving companion. He is so skinny that his spine and ribs can be seen. Although his tummy is hungry, he doesn't let that stop him from brightening someone's day. Kernal is curious about the sounds and smells of the outside world, but he won't stay away for too long before he makes his way back for a treat and best of all, PETS! He is very gentle and has so much love share. He is quite willy too. A tennis ball will occupy him and, also give you a good laugh. It is funny to watch him scramble after a tennis ball rolling away and return with a happy prance that he caught it! He has such a fun personality and a contagious positive attitude. Please open up your arms and home and assure him that he will never be alone. He will be a loyal companion.
