About Peppy

Border Collie / Poodle
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

I bought Peppy, a border collie poodle mix for ~$1000, however her traits of the border collie are COMPLETELY dominant in looks AND behavior, except for a little extra fuzz to her hair. The problem we have is I already had another dog, and border doodles are supposed to be good with other dogs. But with the dominant border collie traits, she will not cease herding, and taking away whatever ball or bone or toy the other has at the moment, and her increasing aggression and incessant biting at the legs and body of our older dog. , and it is apparent I need to re-home her for the good of my family and other dog. She wants to be your one and only (or I read that border collies like others of the same breed.) She is so smart!!! If she were in a one-dog household where she got worked with in training, I'm sure she could learn agility training and just about anything. But as her only focus is trying to dominate our other dog, I am not able to obtain her focus enough, and I bought her as a companion for my other doodle and it just isn't working. Peppy is so sweet and cuddles daily, but is so annoying she doesn't get as many cuddles as she deserves. Her eyes are human like, very alert, and very cool. She is fully kennel (as in will stay in one without pottying all day, but does not like it) and house-trained, honest! I checked off that she is good with kids, and as far as I know that is true. With the neighborhood children she has met, she is licky-friendly and needs some training with manners (of all sorts), but has been very kind and gentle with them. She recently turned a year old, and would be so trainable for the right family. I hope you'll consider this truly sweet dog.
