About Nickel

Meet Nickel !! She was part of our 'cash money family' that escaped a hoarding situation and were close to euthanasia at the shelter due to being labeled meanie heads. Well they are absolutely not meanies. Nickel is a sweet, happy playful puppy now. Nickel is a 7 month old female chihuahua. She weighs 8 pounds. She has been spayed, microchipped and updated on vaccines. She is Heartworm negative. Nickel is good with dogs of all sizes. She's done well fostered with cats. She has not been around many children but we think she would do well with calm and respectful children. She doesn't mind being picked up but small dogs don't like to be treated like toys. She does great on car rides and is doing well learning leash walking. She's not a fan of the crate but settles down quickly. She's doing really good with her potty training she just needs to go out often to avoid accidents. Nickel loves to cuddle and sleep in bed with you. She also loves to play. Toys and bones are favorites. Fluffy soft blankets and adorable sweaters are high on her list. No food/treat or toy aggression seen with other people or pets. She tries to be a little lap protector. She has growled at other dogs that get near her when she's on a lap. This has almost gone away now but she will need consistency to keep it gone. It's very breed typical for chihuahuas. Nickel really is the most adorable little thing. From her cute little face down to her crooked tail. We can't believe she hasn't been adopted already!!
