About Coco

Meet Dude (10) and Coco (9), two adorable purebred Maltese living in Flagstaff, AZ. They have been much beloved by a senior couple who have been declining (mentally and physically) for quite some time now and have now gone into dementia care. Consequently, both the dogs have lost their potty-training skills due to not being taken outside, but with a gentle, consistent new home they are sure to resume their outdoor pottying abilities! Dude is the larger of the two; he actually went to K9 boot camp as a puppy due to being a little nippy and he came through with flying colors! However, that skill was also not consistently reinforced, and he has resumed that naughty behavior with some of the caregivers that entered the home recently. He and Coco have been through so many changes of late. Dude is an absolute LOVEBUG most of the time! Coco is the sweetest girl you can imagine. She is the more introverted of the two, but nevertheless joins her best friend's voice in scaring off intruders, lol! If you know the breed, you know they can be pretty vocal. They are both in good health and are delightful companions. The perfect home would be someone working from home who likes to go for short walks a couple of times a day and enjoys cuddles on the couch while watching TV or reading a book. Pick-up in AZ only.
