About Hershey

I hate myself for doing this, but I'm looking for a new home for our dog Hershey. He's an AKC registered black Standard Poodle, fully intact and w/breeding rights. We've been under a lot of stress/deaths/money constraints the past year and I can't afford/handle taking care of a dog right now. I don't have family/friends that can take on his size/seperation anxiety so he needs a new home. He's a sweet boy, very loving, but would do best in a home that has someone who stays at home the majority of the day. We're currently getting an infected tick bite treated so he may need some extra attention for a few months with antibiotics and vet checkups to make sure he didn't get lyme. He's great with other dogs/well socialized and good with my 4 year old but does have a habit of chewing up her toys/peeing in the house if he gets anxious (very occasional lately). He's not a lazy dog and would do best with someone who can take him on decent walks daily or else he can be very high energy. He would do best in a house w/ fenced yard, as he's large and likes to play, likely would not be a good apartment dog. He's slim and tall, about 65 lbs. Feel free to text me for pictures/times to meet and see if it may be a good fit. We're hoping if we can't figure out things to have him re-homed safely by April. Adoption fee is just to help me cover his vet bills/transfer his papers to you, and to ensure his new home has good resources. It is negotiable for the right home.
