About Penny

Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Do you have any of these in your house? Big dogs? Small dogs? Adults? Kids? Cats? Well then'| you are on the right photo because I'm good with them all! My name is Penny and I'm a 3 year old, 65 lb Lab mix waiting for a family of my own. 'Ohana' means 'family.' 'Family' means 'no one gets left behind.' Everyday I'm grateful for that quote because I once had a family of cute babies. Did you know some rescues take pups and leave the mom? Thankfully PACK9 lives by the quote above and I was saved. My babies are all in their forever families and are growing. They will be a year in just three months. But I'm still here and waiting. So you saw that I'm good with everyone and animal?! Well more pluses- house trained, crate trained, ride well in the car, and not big on jumping though sometimes I forget. Things I'm working on- leash walking and not chewing on my blanket when I fluff it in my crate. Hey, I can't be perfect! Well I guess one other thing, I'm being treated for heartworms. It's a super treatable disease though and my foster mommy tells me that PACK9 has saved over 200 dogs through treatment! There's no effect on my life though and a little bed rest in March won't kill me (unlike the worms if untreated) so I think I made out in this deal!! So if you think all my positives are a fit in your lifestyle, don't wait- apply today! I'll be hanging out in Harrisburg, PA waiting (and my foster mommy will be licked to death until she helps process your application). See you soon! We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption. on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
