About Lia

Lia was found as a stray alongside a smaller dog that she was very protective of. Her owners never came looking for her so she has found herself in our care at the shelter. Lia is estimated to be 5 1/2 years old, and she weighs 50 lbs. Lia does great on car rides, she walks well on a leash and she is very sweet. She will bark at us when she wants attention, so she is a a social girl. She has done well with smaller dogs, we have not tested her yet with bigger dogs. Lia has been spayed, she has tested negative for heartworms, she is fully vaccinated, and she is microchipped. _________________________________________________________ We are a rescue in Mississippi and we travel to NY and CT once a month with our pre-adopted pets and meet with the adopters at a predetermined time and location. Visual breed identification is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.
