About Eve

My name is Eve and I am a very sweet, but shy dog. I am about 30 pounds and about three years old. I found myself in a shelter after having given birth to some puppies. No one seems to know what happened to my puppies, but they were taken from me way too soon. The people at the shelter took me to the vet and found a rescue for me. I am so glad that I have been able to be in a home again. I get along well with other dogs in my foster home and have learned how do use the doggie door in my home and I am completely housetrained. My foster mom says that I am the best dog! I can be completely trusted to have free roam of the house. I don't get into things or bother anything. .My new home should have a fenced in yard to keep me safe since I am rather shy and can get scared by new things. I would love a home with another doggy friend. Even though I am shy at first and a little reserved , once I get to know you I will be your best friend. I will follow you around the house and lay and cuddle with you. I am still working on leash manners since I am scared of things out in the world. So I would need someone that would have patience with me and help me with my leash walking. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
