About Nellie

This is Nellie. She is a Beagle Pit mix. she is very small for her age. In this photo, you can see her sitting on top of her foster sister who is about 55lbs. Nellie is house trained but NOT crate trained. She has crate anxiety, so this causes her to use the bathroom in the crate and she has broken a couple crate bottoms dur to her high anxiety. We are requiring someone who either works from home, works short hours, or can bring her to work with them. She is a HUGE love bug. She does this hilarious thing where she will dive onto the couch and CRUSH her whole body against your face and give you so many kisses. She has done this since she was about 8 weeks old. Her way of showing love is crushing herself against you and we have just accepted that at this point. She is good with other dogs if they are dominant, otherwise she will definitely be the boss. She does not run when she is let outside without a leash, and is very food motivated so we don't see this changing as long as she is aware you have treats in your hand. She will be a great companion for a young, active couple or a family with older kids, as she has enough energy to keep up with them, but can also calm down and be cuddly and sweet when needed.
