About Jorge

Jorge is a tiny male Chihuahua mix estimated to be around four years old. This little pixie only weighs seven and half pounds. A former stray, he was discovered at a home that was under renovation. His rescuer had hoped to make him part of her family but unfortunately it was not a good fit due to their small children. A timid pup, Jorge is easily startled by the actions of young children. He prefers a quiet household with an adult or family with teens. Jorge is more comfortable around women. This little guy is wary of strangers and doesn't kiss on the first date. He needs time to become familiar with you before getting lovey-dovey. Jorge enjoys soft voices, a gentle touch, and curling up under blankets. He prefers to hop up into your lap on his own rather than be picked up. Jorge was a wonderful house guest and always did his business outside. He will need a fenced in yard to keep him safe from wandering. He probably would do well with another small mature dog that respects his space. We haven't tried him around cats but can easily test that for you. Jorge would be much more comfortable in a home instead of our noisy busy shelter.
