About Powder

Powder is 5 month, 35 lb deaf Dalmation and Hound mix. Powder is silly, sweet, cuddly, very affectionate and full of puppy energy. He loves to play with other dogs but no small dogs for him. Powder does require another young, playful, larger breed dog in the home to play with and help him learn the ropes. He is such a smart pup that he has almost mastered sit, watch, come, down, touch and wait using sign. We are also using a vibration collar to help get his attention when needed and he is doing well with that. And, he is doing great with his house breaking (with some reminders) and uses a dog door. Powder is night time crate trained but he doesn't appreciate the crate during the day. He does require a secure fenced yard. And, no apartments/condos for this pup. Training a deaf dog is not hard but you must have the time and desire to work with Powder to help him be the best grown up dog he can be.
